Acceptable use
Last updated 6 October 2026
Jigsaw is for small, useful apps shared with people who want them. These rules keep it that way.
Do not publish an app that
- tricks people into giving up passwords, payment details or other secrets, or pretends to be someone it is not;
- contains or spreads malware, or attacks or probes other systems;
- collects personal information without telling people, or uses it for something they did not agree to;
- is illegal, or helps someone do something illegal;
- harasses, threatens or exploits anyone, or contains sexual content involving minors;
- infringes someone else's copyright, trademark or other rights;
- sends spam, or mines cryptocurrency;
- is built to get around Jigsaw's limits or to resell Jigsaw's hosting.
Do not
- try to reach apps, data or accounts you have not been given access to;
- interfere with Jigsaw or with other people's apps;
- share an app with people who have not asked for it, in bulk.
What we do about it
Anyone can report an app. We may suspend an app while we look into a report, and we may remove apps or close accounts that break these rules. Where the law requires it, we report illegal content to the authorities.
